Acceptance
We all have some experiences we would like to have undone. Once something has happened, it cannot be changed, and covering it up with denial, resentment or judgment only weakens the mind and body. Acceptance is the most
effective spiritual way of coping with an unpleasant situation because it frees us from this negative energy. It is not
passive yielding, but rather positive action that allows us to take full responsibility for previous events and our present
attitude regarding them.
Different tints and shades of colors, light and shadows, suggest rhythm, motion, diversity and connectivity.
(The original oil painting is from the private collection of Art Epp of Charlottesville, Virginia.)
Reproductions are available in our gift shop.
