The Unseen Reality
Life sometimes appears to be the opposite of what it is, the laws of cause and effect not immediately apparent. If you were to use an electron microscope, you could break anything down into its elementary particles of atoms, molecules, quarks etc. In the end, all that would be left is energy. Therefore, everything in and around our lives is energy– everything is in motion; everything is changing, illustrated by the physical states of water in the painting: flowing as the river, condensed in the clouds and frozen as the snow.
Most morning glories are known for their fast growth, twining habit, attractive flowers, and their adaptability to different soils. They die at the first frost but return stronger to blossom and flourish the following year. They exemplify the resilience of the human spirit, our sustained ability to grow, to flourish ourselves and to give to others. Your life is a reflection of what you think, say and believe. Gaping caverns beckon us to explore and go deeper within but we often hesitate, fearful of the unknown. When you eliminate the mind’s endless preoccupation with the past and future, you eliminate stress and anxiety. The challenges along life’s path may loom mountainous before us but each positive step taken in gratitude, faith and perseverance takes us to a higher level. The potentiality of everything you can create is the unseen reality.
(The original painting is from the private collection of Barbara White of Waynesboro, Virginia.)
