OUT OF SAMSARA
“Samsara”, the cycle of life and the composite of all earthly experiences, is displayed on the left side and rotates counterclockwise, because of our tendency to move in this direction. The eye represents an entity’s attraction to the most ideal life situation for rebirth- parents, location, and physical capabilities- in order to work out one’s lessons and to grow. The energizing states of sleep and in-between life is illustrated by the vibrant blue and orange hues on the top of this circle; life’s varying experiences are depicted on the bottom, submerged in an ocean of challenges. The maple leaf floating on the water’s surface is a symbol for the continuous movement of the seasons and of time. It reminds us that the cycle of samsara can only be exited by mastering all of the following three accomplishments: Working off all negative karma Achieving harmony with all physical, mental and spiritual aspects of life Breaking free of all desire or need to come back to another round in life The trees bordering the staircase leads the viewer to understand that all life evolves. They grow from the dark shadows into the light. The plant-like symbol helps us to understand man’s connection to the universe through nature. Departing from a life experience, an entity reverts backs into light energy that travels on thought waves.
